Transportation Club of Memphis Announces Scholarship Winners for 2019

Memphis, TN – Transportation Club of Memphis (TCOM) is proud to announce the scholarship recipients from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University for the 2019 academic year.

The Transportation Club of Memphis has awarded more than $60,000 over the past 11 years for deserving students. Funds are raised through the annual golf tournament and generous donations by our sponsors, members, and community.

Transportation Club of Memphis Meeting
Annual Women in Transportation Panel Discussion

Memphis, TN – Transportation Club of Memphis (TCOM) is hosting the annual Women in Transportation Panel discussion on Tuesday 11/13/2018 at 11:15 A.M. at the Racquet Club of Memphis 511 Sanderlin Memphis, TN 38117.

Admission is $30 for members / guests; $35 for non-members; lunch will be provided. 

This will be an exciting and engaging opportunity to hear from 5 local women of various transportation backgrounds as they explain their experiences in the transportation industry.

Transportation Club of Memphis Meeting 
Guest Speakers: Terry Blue & Michael Fulton of the Memphis Airport

Memphis, TN – Transportation Club of Memphis (TCOM) announces Memphis-Shelby Count Airport Authority’s VP of Operations Terry Blue and Government Affairs Director Michael Fulton will be the guest speakers on Tuesday 9/11/18 at 11:15 A.M. at the Racquet Club of Memphis 511 Sanderlin Memphis, TN 38117.
Admission is $30 for members / guests; $35 for non-members; lunch will be provided. 

Terry Blue and Michael Fulton will be presenting the Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority’s history, current activities, finances, projects, air service development efforts as well as an update on the upcoming drone program. 

Born and raised in Central Illinois, Terry earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Management from Southern Illinois University and a Master’s of Public Administration from the University of Illinois Springfield. With more than 20 years in aviation operations, Terry is also a licensed Private Pilot and Accredited Airport Executive (A.A.E.). 
Michael Fulton, an alumnus of Middle Tennessee State University, coordinates the development, approval and advocacy of MSCAA’s position on proposed federal and state legislation and actions. With more than 10years of experience in government affairs, Fulton currently serves as a board member on the Memphis Area Transit Authority.

Transportation Club of Memphis Meeting - Guest Speaker Sean Healy - 2/14/18

Memphis, TN – Transportation Club of Memphis (TCOM) announces FedEx Freight’s SVP of Transportation, International, Planning & Strategy (TRIPS) Sean Healy will be the guest speaker on Wednesday 2/14/18 at 11:15 A.M. at the Assisi Foundation of Memphis, 515 Erin Drive. 
Admission is $30 for members / guests; $35 for non-members; lunch will be provided.  

Sean Healy will be discussing his role in designing, developing, and implementing processes and technologies for FedEx Freight. Additionally, he will be sharing his experiences from over 30 years in transportation. 
In addition to managing the FedEx Freight portfolio, Healy is also manages the linehaul network for which he monitoring technology trends and working with IT to deploy models across the network. 
Born in Charlotte, N.C., Healy earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Memphis and a master’s from the University of Tennessee. He is the Chairman of the Board of the Memphis Area Transit Authority Board of Commissioners, serves on the board of the West Tennessee STEM initiative and also participates on the University of Tennessee Executive MBA Board. An avid runner, he has finished the Memphis St. Jude Marathon seven times, each time running as a St. Jude Hero to raise money for the hospital.

Transportation Club of Memphis Announces 2017 Board of Directors

Memphis, TN – The Transportation Club of Memphis (TCOM) announces the appointment of four new members to serve on the organization’s 2017 Board of Directors.

The current board of TCOM is happy to welcome the following new board members:

  • Robin Colwell: Campus Director, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University
  • Brian Celosky: Terminal Manager, Total Transportation of MS
  • Julian Prewitt: Assistant Manager, Intermodal Operations, Cornerstone Systems
  • Courtney Ratts: Logistics Manager, ReTrans, Inc.

Continuing their service on the Board are Ken Opperman, Chip Riley, Larry Mays, Trip Wiygul, and Jim DeWeese.
Additionally, TCOM extends special thanks to the board members who concluded service in 2016: Bobbi Caccamisi, Chrissy Geibel, Chris Harrison, and Whitney Rosenblatt.
